Liz Fields is an Asian-Australian-American writer and filmmaker who draws inspiration for her socially relevant dramas and thrillers from the stranger-than-fiction situations she’s encountered as an award-winning journalist. Liz previously staffed the newsrooms of ABC and VICE, where she interviewed everyone from drug dealers and priests to spies and insurgent groups; and somehow survived the 2016 elections as a campaign embed. She has since written and produced content for HBO, Netflix, Hulu, PBS, and more. A 2022 graduate of the CAPE New Writer’s Program, Liz signed with Zero Gravity Management after placing as a finalist in AFF’s script competition two years in a row. She is currently executive producing a documentary feature and adapting a novel into a one hour TV drama. Her very first script didn't even make it to the second round at AFF.
