Mike Greaney is a writer, director and cartoonist whose work uses humour and pathos to explore themes of human connection and cosmic disappointment; as he aims to reframe tropes of Australian culture. He has created animation for clients including Green Day, Sesame Street, Neil Young, Adult Swim, Nickelodeon and The Sydney Theatre Company.

His work creating an animated world for the theatre show ‘Blackie Blackie Brown: The Traditional Owner of Death’ won him a Green Room award for best AV in 2019. While his comics have been nominated for both The Australian Comic Arts Awards and the Overland Fair Australia Prize.
