Writer/Director Run Sweetheart Run, Dirty Diana
SHANA FESTE was nominated for a Humanitas Prize for The Greatest, which she wrote and directed and which premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival where Variety magazine included her in their annual, “10 Directors to Watch”. Feste’s second directing/writing effort, Country Strong, garnered Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for Best Original Song. In 2018, Boundaries, which she wrote and directed as an homage to her late father, premiered at SXSW and was released by Sony Pictures Classics, securing her a second Humanitas Prize nomination. During quarantine, Ms. Feste wrote and directed an original podcast, Dirty Diana, which was nominated for the Best Podcast of the Year and won and Ambie for Screenwriting. Dirty Diana’s book rights were sold in 25 countries and will be published by Penguin here in the US. Her most recent feature Run Sweetheart Run premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and is being released by Amazon October 28th, 2022.
